regarding the simplicity - you are right BUT what the user see is confusing - too much information are displayed on the page... and it could be simplified...
I know - I can create a new gallery for that... BUT:
1. I don't want to have a popup
2. I want to simplify my customers life... I want them to deal with only two aspects:
a. create a new gallery (event without choosing the type of the gallery)
b. add images to the gallery
You have an excellent tool BUT it is too complex to end-users!!!
