How can I force an image to resize to display inside the Compact Slider? I've set the height at 580px for 450px max height images and they still don't fit the main image area.
What do I need to set to force each image to display withing the available dimensions?
You can see it on this page. It's in the body of the article and not the top slider.
Note that 8 images in, there is a bear that is being cut off although the image is 300px wide by 450px high which is the same as many which are the same height.
Great gallery, just have something I'm probably missing from really using this. Great job!
Is the problem then that the variance in width causes the height to scale larger? Does this mean that to display correctly, all must be the same width and height or ??
Since we typically need to display many images of varying widths and heights, how can we set up the gallery so images are resized so they display within the fixed image area?
Appreciate the quick feedback, look forward to the solution.
I understand the limitations on the display. Unfortunately that's going to be hard to deal with as every image will have varying height width ratios normally. Not sure what we'll come up with to make it work.
Maybe an enhancement to add for some future update would be a way to resize an image to fit within the max dimensions.
Appreciate your help, guess this answers my question.
Just to be sure I understand what you are saying, are you saying that for Unite Gallery, all images must have the same width to height size ratio while the actual image dimensions do not matter?
Or can the gallery handle variable ratio and size images and display them without cropping?
Great gallery visually and easy to set up but knowing it's degree of flexibility is going to be important in how it can be used.

All the images would need to same width/height ratio
You can't show images with the different width/height ration to show full in the designated area

Hi,
I am afraid that there is nothing we can do unless you use images as I suggested

Hi,
yes, they need to have the same width to height ratio. They don't have to have the same size
