Hello. Trying to style buttons in Rev slider and cant for the life of me figure out why its so impossible.

    I want to either:

    A) Change the default butt ugly button styles and have the changes survive a component upgrade.

or B) Actually be able to create a class that I can apply to a link to create a button. I've looked on the web, and blundered about in the forums here looking for a solution with no luck and the documentation doesn't tell me. There seems to be a huge number of people whining about this very fact and the reply's seem to indicate that its a matter of "doing some CSS". Which vary from uneducated guesses by newbiews to long time devs like me trying to figure out where.

Love the slider itself - but have to say it shouldn't be this hard to style a simple button. Surely to god one simply creates a style somewhere and apply it to the link. Any instruction/clue/guidance would be appreciated.

HI. I\'m sorry, we don\'t have another button styles right now. If you want, I can point you where the styles are come from and you\'ll style the button yourself. Of you can add your styles in your template files, and it will survive the updated.

    Hi Max.

I found that you can add classes to the sites template CSS that will be picked up and used by the slider. However, That didnt help as I couldn\'t work out your tp-xxx class structure around buttons.

What I did manage to do was add some styles using the global styles editor and that has worked. I just find it odd that buttons cant easily be styled. Everything else has an editor or parameters to make adjustment easy. Or at the very least, document how to add/edit the existing button styles without forcing the user to wade through forum posts and goodle searches.

As I say, Love this product - and am finding it has hidden depths and is really powerful, but like many OS software products these days the documentation is very limited/out of date/incomplete. And that does tick me off.

if you could give me a steer as the the correct CSS for the buttons that would be great.

    Regards

    Tony
