I really like your Unite Gallery and think about using it for coming project. There's one thing I couldn't figure out while reading across your homepage. For this project I have a local joomla installation, and no internet connection. So I have to store the video-files on my virtual XAMPP-server and fetch them there... possible? Or can you even upload videos by the component itself, does this work on a local joomla-engine? In case it works, what formats do the videos have to have?
HI. the videos can come in a regular html5 format. you can host them on your joomla directory and give relative links. when you upload your website to the server the links will remain because they are relative.
The formats should be mp4 / webm / ogv
you can check any html5 player on the web, it will be always the same. in the unite gallery I use the \"media element 2\" player.
but anyway, I recommend to upload your videos to some video server like youtube or vimeo, and play them from there.
