I think what people are looking for at the very least is a notice of some sort from Unite CMS when a new version of a component is released. Maybe an email blast or or something similar sent to all current members.
What would be even better in combination with the above, is if the built in Joomla Updater was used to both notify of a new version and then the ability to download and install that new version from within the Updater itself like many popular Joomla Components do by default.
Hi. when some major version releases we do email blast. For regular updates usually no need to do email blast. People turning to us only when something got wrong and only then they should update.
Like soon new major version of unite gallery will release with 4 new gallery types! We certainly will update the clients.
