I am trying to make a semi complicated menu, similar to the one one https://www.blacktomato.com/ , mainly the experience menu where there is a dropdown menu with a second set of dropdown menus next to it, and then content next to that which is related to the item you are currently hovering over (example image attached)
I am building the base of this with the remote tabs and content carousel widgets.
What I have is nested remote connections and thats where it seems to break
The first layer works fine where there is the two menu items and it changes the carousel item based on which one you are hovering over (image attached)
Inside the content carousel items, I am using a template for the content which is its own remote tabs and content carousel. The template itself works fine (image attached)
But when I try to use that template inside of the content carousel, thats where it breaks and I start to get the error 'TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading: 'find')'
I am thinking the main issue is to do with the remotes being nested in each other. Is this something that could be resolved or should I try something else?
Also this site isn't live yet so I cant give you access
your case is really interesting, I believe that we never used nested remote widgets. I wish you could provide admin access to your website event if it's not live yet for better understanding and debuging. Maybe it's posible to add support to it.
Here is an idea: I see that what you're trying to build is looks like menu, have you considered using our Mega Menu widget? With it you can have menu items as a whole Elementor section which makes easier to create the layout you're referring to.
If you still want to build your menu with nested remote widgets please share some screenshots of your layout in Elementor Editor (and please turn on Navigator so it would be easier to see what your sections consists of). I will try to rebuild your case and see what can be done.
