I've attempted to follow the J2.x to J3.x migration process to convert my existing Joomla2.5 (with Rev slider 4.3.8.b2) into Joomla 3.3 (with rev slider 4.6.3). However, as with many people attempting the same thing, I've spent the last 2 days trying to do it but not meeting with any success. My site isn't large and have now concluded that migrating the content is probably easier than following this painful migration path. With that in mind, my life would be made much easier if I could export the Joomla2.5/Rev Slider 4.3.8.b2 sliders followed by importing them into Joomla 3.3/Rev Slider 4.6.3.
My overall objective is to migrate from an old (soon to be unsupported) Joomla 2.5 setup to a new Joomla3.3 setup. ...along with all the Rev Slider slider content.
On my development PC (using localhost)...
...the Joomla2.5 to 3.3 migration process (refer to previous post) is a problem (which I cannot fix and don't have the time and patience to spend days investigating) so I'm unable to seamlessly upgrade my instance of J2.5 to J3.3using the Joomla migration process. My alternative is to build a fresh and empty instance of J3.3 (including the latest version of Rev Slider) which has been done successfully. However, I don't know how to move my Rev Slider sliders from the old J2.5 to the new J3.3 instance. I could do it all manually but if there's an export/import solution then I'd like to know how it works.
So, I now have 3 instances of Joomla installed on my localhost:
One is my old J2.5 instance including content of Rev Slider sliders. This reflects my live site as per this link.
The second is the partially upgraded (but broken/corrupted) J2.5-to-J3.3 instance but I'm unable to log into the backend admin (blank screen - no errors) and the front-end the same. There is obviously a serious corruption of the migration process. As stated previously, I have spent so long on correcting problems on this migration process, I would, in fact, have been quicker to move the content manually. This Joomla2.5 to 3.3 migration isn't your problem so I don't need any help in that respect.
The third instance is a fresh and clean build of J3.3 including the latest Rev Slider component which does not contain any sliders/content. I would like to move my old Rev Slider sliders (content from J2.5 instance) into the new/empty Joomla3.3 instance, but I'd like to do it as quickly as possible using any potential Rev Slider admin export/import features.
So, does Rev Slider admin have any slider/content export/import features that will allow me to manually transfer my existing sliders from the old J2.5 instance to my new and empty J3.3 instance? Does this help you understand my problem?

u dont need to import just install the latest version after you backup . it should be ok .

hi Rob i am not sure what u r strugling with . The entire migration proccess or just migrating the slider.
you don't need to do anything special to migrate the slider just install the latest package and thats it.
if you have a specific problem please specify it. some kind of error or something.
please also send a link so we can see and try to help .
