I'm using the Background Switcher widget on
my homepage. However, now my dropdown menus won't work. Users aren't able to
click on a dropdown menu option when it's over the background switcher. The
menu works just fine on other pages without the background switcher widget.
How can this be fixed?

try to give the menu a high z--index and the background switcher a low z index
