    Hello :)
Besides my work of building websites, I'm also dealing with page speed optimization. I've noticed that in elementor there isn't an option to do a full background video that does not include JS, when working with wp rocket and to achieve a better score you need to delay as many scripts as you can, a lot of websites are working with wp-rocket + autoplay background video above the folder.
this combination causes the background video not to run at all due error.
eventually compromise not activating delay scripts clause, in order to work - which we dont want since it hurts our page speed score and our audience user exprience and also indirectly at the website SEO.
my suggestion: I don't know if it's technically possible, anyways, create a video widget that can spread full width on the section, not just the colum ,with the option to set the height, image cover if the video not fully loaded yet + background overlay
but the most important thing that it will not include any JS.

    waiting for your reply

    thanks

Hi, maybe by creating your own js will be better then the default elementor js thats also an option.
but it something that will need to be checked deeply
all I know that there is a high demand for this widget, including myself.

I explain myself now the best I can hopefully il be understood

basically we are creating a section full width for a video background, we can load it locally, youtube, Vimeo etc.

there is also an option to put image replacement until the video fully loads to start its automatic loop.

doesn't need even to click, when it is finished loading the video in the background it will start to play.

    all this already exists.

so far is the easy part, the problem is if we are interested in optimizing our website to the next level without giving up on our website performance, there's a plugin called wp-rocket that has an option of delaying js, once we activate it will delay all our js website, we have the option to exclude js that we don't want to delay in order that the site will function correctly if needed..

once we activate this feature u will notice the video background just not working at all since it involves some js, the same thing goes for the elementor sticky menu which involves js, the sticky feature won't work, and you don't have the option to delay this js.

These 2 are the most common widgets that's conflict when optimizing website page speed.

Ok I understand your point, since I'm not a developer was just interested if it's possible maybe to create the same widget but with different technical code behind it.

never mind, thanks for your time.
