Wrap Text

How do I make text wrap so I don't have to keep creating new layers and stacking them.

It would be ideal if we could have a forum so we don't have to go to a different website and login with yet one more user name and password just to get help. This is about as unfriendly as it gets and I am sure it is no surprise that most of us will be able to help ourselves on a  forum as well as others if we had a way to do it. Unless of course you would just rather not offer help and in that case you are doing a great job of it (sorry to say).

    hi Kevin .

the problem with the fourm is that is not personalized enough and here u can post private or public tickets but from our experience people are not really helpfull to each other and better to get a personalized expert answer.

I think if you use the latest version you should have a text wrap option or u can use <br> where u want the line to break .

what version are you using? i will check in your version if this config exists and send u a print screen where u can find it.

I agree it may not be personal enough and by all means keep this ticket system if it works. I do not find it personal when I have two different places I have to login to and I prefer a forum where I can see what others are having issues with.

Anyway, yes I found how to wrap text. A bit of a learning curve but in the process of all that I discovered a bug. When you turn on the grid to align elements, which is a fantastic addition I might add. When you turn it off elements continue to snap to it and I no longer have the freedom to freely position other elements. I did not test extensivly but I did try and turn it back on and use a few different grid sizes and when I turned it back off the elements still would only snap to the first grid size I used regardless of which was the last grid.

    Hi Kevin .

From your last message i am not sure if i understood if you still need help or you are managing.

Sorry Amit, I am managing but a few points I want to make. After I tried to get the text to wrap which I finally did (sort of) the container which has the resize bars now do not conform to the text box. When I view the slide on the frontend that box is moving other elements around. Now if this was a true layer system I have to ask, why if each of these elements is on its own layer why are the other layers refusing to overlap and dance around this layer box? The only solution is to dump the slide and start over. I think more testing needs to be done on this because it is not behaving as it should and I am curious why in the view that there are resize handles on these elements because they do not behave like they should and in fact they don't do anything except help make more of a mess, at least as far as my tests have gone.

In the end I think this is a fantastic extension and I will continue to use it but I think it has a long way to go before it does what you are wanting it to do. The fact that I have to manage is not good enough and I would like to see more documentation on how to make text wrap because in the end I gave up and just created a new layer.

Hi, the resize handlers are working only for image type layers. There is no text wrap because it make problems with layer sizing, the only way for you to make couple of lines from the layers is to use <br> tag.
