Text Layer is cut off in backend

Hi, I'm using the latest version 4.5.95 b4 and the layer text is cut off in the backend when I use the lower left corner as the origin. Please see screenshots. The first shot you can see that I've picked the left middle as the origin and the text is not in the middle but actually is further down than the middle. The second screenshot shows if I pick the lower left as the origin then the text is is completely cut off.

To be clear, the text shows up as it should in both the preview and the frontend. See screenshot

I've also noticed that the image is slightly cut off at the bottom by 20px or so. If I use firebug and disable the height element for "divLAyers-wrapper" the rest of the background image shows up. See screenshot 04. If I change the text style from large_text  to large_bold_white it shows up as it should except for the cutoff at the bottom which you can see from the screenshot (05) I still have the height element disabled. Also notice the cross cursor is at the top left of the text for "large_text" and at the bottom left for the "large_bold_white" text. I then checked some more and the largeblackbg, largegreenbg, largepinkbg, and largewhitebg have the same problem as "large_text" in that they are almost completely cutoff and the cross icon id at the top left of the text. I'm on the latest Joomla 2.5.4

Hi JB to help you i need us to talk about one problem at a time. So there are no misunderstandings.

I am refering to the first problem u attached .

which is the caption being cut off.

you can adjust this by changing the x and y values . you can also use negative numbers to adjust the text to be exactly where u want

    can u try ?

    Hi Amit,

Ok that's fine. Let's go with picture 02. If you look at it full size you can see that the bottom left is picked as the origin for the X,Y coordinates. X is set to 10 and Y is set to 10. This should make the text be 10px from the left and 10px from the bottom. You can see this is not the case. When I preview the slide the text IS positioned correctly even though it shows incorrectly in the backend. If I adjust the text to be visible in the backend the Y coordinate is like 68px and then when I preview it is far too high on the slide.

    Regards,
    Jim

    Amit,

I've done some further testing. I removed the latest Revolution Slider component and module from Joomla. I installed the old 4.5.5b3 version and this works just fine. See attached screenshot "06_455b3". I then installed version 4.5.9 that I had downloaded two months ago and the problem then occurs. See screenshot "07_459". Again same settings but the text is cutoff on the bottom and you can barely see the cross icon. My posts from above refer to version "4.5.95 b4" So it seems something at the start of the 4.5.9 versions is causing problems. Please look at the screenshots at full size to see the info.

    jim

FYI.. To all forum readers,. To show I'm not crazy and keep you updated... and to show UniteCMS DOES respond in a timely manner...

    Hi.

I see the issue. It's certainly a bug. But it happens not to all the captions. Some of the captions behave normally like the one in the screenshot. I don't know what css parameter exactly make it work right and not, maybe caption height.

Anyway, what we do , is just make joomla adoptions of themepunch slider taken from wordpress. I have checked, wp version is also buggy the same way. I see theempunch released an update (to 4.6), I'll work on this update soon, it will be ready within 2 weeks. Hope they will fix the issue in this update
