HI, I'm sorry, but I can't do much about the optimization. the slider is traken from wordpress version of the revolution slider, we don't make the slider ourselves, we just got an agreement with themepunch - the developer of the slider to modify and sell it for joomla. If they do optimizations in further update, it will be brought to joomla as well.
