Hey sorry for taking so long to come back to this, I figured out the font problem to an extent and then just used ACF for the fields.
Its a really interesting tradeoff between the you + acf + cpt-ui "combo" vs toolset. Toolset does everything that the combo does but no where near as nicely UI wise and doesnt have the all fields that ACF does. Their elementor integration is rubbish as well, nothing like how the Widget Creator (my favourite product!) works.
The real benefit we see in toolset is
The integration between the components
AJAX refresh on search results
Importing exporting modules
The modules functionality is such a benefit to our company as we can just drop a module into a new site and its ready. Where as with the combo everything needs to be moved individually.
Have you seen anyone doing this well i.e. moving ACF fields, CPTs and Unlimited Elements widgets together? It's hard to express how beneficial this would be for us at least!
What you are saying sounds great, do you mean incorporate ACF into Unlimited Elements or do you mean actually build your own version? That might be super hard!
Im having couple of issues with your Toolset integration.
One issue is probably Toolsets issue (font awesome) but thought I would let you know as its effecting the icon picker in the widget creator.
Second is that toolset fields are showing up in the widget creator but not in the widget itself. I have made a video showing this
