    Hi,

I updated to the latest slider (4.5.9, Joomla 3.3.1) and there's a strang thing going on.

The slider starts with a clear background image and after 2000ms a blur imgae is loading. But when I click to antother page it shortly shows the blur image first! After relaoding a page everything works ok, but going to another page teh same problem starts over again. I can not find the problem.

I'm using the slider for a while now but with the lastest version I see this problem.

I have the same site on another directory with Joomla 3.1.6 and slider 4.1.3.b8 which works well: http://www.vddesign.nl/algemeen/vakantie.html

Please help, thank you very much.

Hi, it's a client side issue. The client side is being developed by themepunch team (wordpress and js version authors).

From my side I can only wait till they fix the issue and wait for the update. I can't influence them any way.

Can you just remain using old version (4.3.1 b8) meanwhyil? Or it's bad for you?

btw, if you want refund, I can refund you. If you want some old version that you don't have, I can send it to you.

besides, I don't see what I can do on this issue.

    Hi Max,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

Ok, that's clear. Have you any idea how long this can take? Is it a few days, weeks, months? So it's not that this is the end of the world you know.

A refund is not necessary, I am glad with the component ;-)

Is it possible to install an older version over a new one?

Oh and I have to say: I imported the slides from 4.3.1 b8 to 4.5.9, maybe it went wrong there?

    Thanks

Hi, I don't think it went wrong. You can check this if you create more simple slider with 2 slides and switch between 2 for couple of minutes and check.

It's posible to install older version over the new one, yes. It should work, unless you have used some features that the old one don't has - like layer rotation. But anyway it should work because you don't touching the database when updating. You can update back to the newer anytime.

I don't know when they release updates. When they release, I see it on codecanyon and update the joomla version as well. So I can't tell you when they update. They don't telling me it also.

    Hi Max,

Ok, thanks. I'll find a way.

Can I sign up for a message when the update arrives?

    Thanks

Hi, I don't have this feature in my website, sorry. approx every monthI release a version or two according the themepunch version release. I guess you have to log in and check every now and then.

but It doesn't mean that they will solve your issue. But there is a chance :) .

    Hi Max,

    Ok, thanks.

Last question: does everybody using 4.5.9 have this problem or is it just me?

    Thx

    Hi Max,

    Ok, thanks.

Just to let you know: 4.3.1b was running on Joomla 3.1.6 and had no problem (for me)

Now I have: Joomla 3.3.1 (new install) with 4.5.9. that has the problem I described.

After reinstall 4.3.1.b over 4.5.9 the problem only is there when a slider as more than one slide, with just one slide the problem is gone. Probable it ihassomething to do witn Joomla 3.3.1.

    Anyway, thanks for your help.

    Hi Max,

Just letting you know what I found out.

I exported  the slides from the old website (Joomla 3.1.6 en 4.3.1b) and imported them in Joomla 3.3.1 and 4.5.9.. Then I downgrade to 4.3.1b.Still the same problem. Then I saw in the database that the sliders have a absolute url to the old website which was installed in another directory. So the slider finds the images in the old directory and that takes time. When I change the absolute url in a relative one right in the database, the problem is solved. But when I update to 4.5.9 the problem is there again. The relative urls are still there. Very strange.

But it works for now after setting back the update. Now running Joomla 3.3.1 with 4.3.1b.

    Update:

Sorry, was to fast with this conlcusion. Doesn't work eather.

Best combinatio still: Joomla 3.1.6 with 4.3.1b.
