J have the same problem as Jason Chang but his topic was closed without response.

This is Jason Chang. First the slider did not show up at all, but now it does show up, except that it does not have transition effects. How I got the slider to show up is as follows:
On the bottom of the nivoslider module, it has "menu assignment" section. Right underneath are 3 tabs: "main menu", "social menu", and "system menu".On the main menu tab, I just check all the boxes. That's it. Right now, I am waiting for someone to tell me why there is no transition effects.
