Tiles justified - Text panel position

Hello, this is about Unite Gallery.

I have "Tiles Justified" gallery on a site I am working on. The drop-down selection options for the panel position are "Inside top, Inside bottom and Middle". However, the tool-tip which appears next to the selection title says "For the top/bottom positions the panel is always visible".

I need that "bottom" position on the website because the customer wants it and accepts nothing else. And I mean "bottom", not "inside bottom". I need the text panel to be visible under the images and not covering the image.

I have seen that those two missing positions are also mentioned here: http://unitegallery.net/index.php?page=tiles-justified-options, "tile_textpanel_position: inside_bottom, inside_top, inside_center, top, bottom"

My version of the component is 1.7.29 b1 and my subscription has expired. My question is, are those mentioned "top & bottom" positions available in the current version of the component (1.7.2)? If yes, I will re-subscribe immediately.

If not, do you have any tips on how to modify the code to add those into the component. I assume it is a bit tricky, as I would have to change both the row heights and all the positions of the images on the rows below if I wanted to create a text space under the image.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

since our developers are not English native language speakers, maybe this added a confusion but we have what you also have.

In order to have what you are looking for, you would need to change the gallery item HTML template and also adjust CSS code

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I am not native English speaker either, so maybe my text was not easy to understand. But anyway, from your answer I understand that there is not such option in Unitegallery component.

In my understanding, there are no HTML templates, only the javascript files which define how the gallery works and how it looks like. In the template js file I didn't find anything to modify.

In the actual component javascript file I found some rows which affect on the positioning and the height of the rows, but it is very difficult to change them because there are many relations between the height of the image and the height of the image container, and their size ratio.

I tried to add +50 pixels to the image container so there would be space for the text under the image, and then move the text under the image with CSS. That didn't work.

Eventually I managed to set up some external jQuery rules to my template which force the extra space under the images when the page is loaded. However, the gallery changes back to the original style immediately if the browser window is resized. I give up and look for something else. :)

    Hi,

I am sorry for that but I am afraid there is nothing I can do about this issue. It is a specific request and we can't fulfil it
