I am not able to insert an image - Joomla 3.8.7 unite_slider5.0.14 the images you see here are loaded via the enter image url for slide background so I could show something to the client.
your system plugin "Rapi Admin UI" is guilty for this issue. Disable "Transition Effect Between Pages" parameter in that plugin and everything will work as expected
