We need to be able to do a couple of things with the text boxes on the slides. We would like to be able to have mixed fonts and sizes in the text layers and would like to have all of the text lines in one rectangular box with a semi transparent background. We know how to do one layer per line with one font type and style and how to set background transparency. But need to have all lines in one box with mixed fonts and styles. I assume this could be done with html tages in the editor, but maintenance of the sldier will be done by inexperienced lay staff and needs to be as simple as possible.
These text items are not Joomla articles. They are only part of the slides themselves. It would seem counter productive to install another extension just for this purpose. I guess I can try that, but this is for a non profit group and the people that support the website are only lay people. We want to keep this as simple as possible for them. I am trying to do it with multiple layers, stacked on top of each other.
It would just be so much simpler if the editor used for the text in the back end could at least be TinyMCE. Any chance you can incorporate that in a future release?
I don't believe that we will add such feature in the future. Using the extension I suggested would allow you to create slide place holders and your user would just need to edit a specific article. There is no other way
Thanks Igor. I will look into the Articles anywhere and see how manageable it is to use. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. This is a really powerful and flexible tools and I still think that a better editor would be a definite upgrade and it would be good to keep in mind for the future.
