After updating to 5.02., the backend looks totally different. Text layers are invisible and its not possible anymore to change anything on the slider. Cache deleting didn't help. Needed to go back to 4.8.2.
please edit each slider configuration and just save it without making any changes. After that your slide configurations should start to work again and you will be able to edit slides
